More than 60 students, employees, alumni and community members volunteered during the Seventh Annual College-Wide Day of Service on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day in January
2017. The volunteers lent a helping hand at three different locations throughout the day—Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Olivet Boys & Girls Club in Pottstown and Cradles to
Crayons in West Conshohocken.
MCCC's Lively Arts Series connected artist Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra with the families of the children who attend ACLAMO Family Centers in Norristown.
They were invited to enjoy his performance at MCCC and meet with him afterward. Through this growing relationship with ACLAMO, the Lively Arts Series provides usher
internships to students.
