How do you deliver? At Sorel, we live at the intersec- tion of fashion and function. Our designs are confident and bold with an implicit functional purpose, which makes us unique in both the outdoor and fashion worlds. We always think about what our consumer wants in our product. First, she wants to look great. Then, we then dial in our function. What's new for Fall 2018 and where did you garner inspiration? For Fall 2018 we have updated some of our most successful fall franchises: Joan and Out N About are getting totally new looks, but retain the same great functionality our consumer loves. We are also bringing many new looks like the Phoenix collection, which is a cool waterproof everyday city boot. We looked to our consumers in key markets like New York City, London and LA when we developed our Fall '18 collection. It was also important to reference what was relevant to these badass women doing something in the world of culture (music, art, technology, street style) as they became muses of our product. We infused these with bold silhouettes, hardware details and exaggerated proportions as a signal to military inspiration. Which Fall product do you love? I adore our wedges. They are the ultimate in ver- satility. I'm always comfortable and my feet stay dry. I have to add that I also joke about how you can run in them, which I've done from meeting to meeting in New York, LA and Europe. What's your favorite outdoor sport or activity? I love hiking with my family, boating and waterskiing. The North Face, Cryos Urban Outerwear Jasmin Ghaffarian, Senior Product Director Consumers today want perfor- mance, style and some urban sensibility in their garments. How do you deliver? We have learned as a brand how to survive, play and live in the most extreme environments in the moun- tains over the last 50 years and also been lucky enough to be adopted into urban environments. Whether it is Everest or New York City, no one can be trusted more than us to keep you protected. For us it's the perfect union of 100 percent function and 100 percent beauty. There can be no compromise to either. What's new for Fall 2018 and where did you garner inspiration? We were really inspired by some of our part- nerships with Comme Des Garcons, Sacai and Supreme. These brands push us to think about ourselves differently, keep us humble and moving forward in a really disruptive and authentic way. We were also inspired by our concept of New Winter and the idea that our consumers are no long just looking for one big jacket, but many layers and a system of clothes that can be worn together and customized for different parts of your day. Which Fall product do you love? The women's Cryos Down Bomber. It has a beautiful silhouette with an innovative way of doing quilting on a down jacket (an X pattern). I am also so proud we have such full and beautiful faux fur in the line. What's your favorite outdoor sport or activity? I love hiking, and shopping.
