IN EVERYTHING, 3 DEVELOPING AN ATTITUDE OF THANKFULNESS CAN TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE. "THANKFULNESS FLOWS FROM the belief that God is the source of the good things in a person's life—family, friends, personal gifts, values, talents, loving relationships—the list goes on," says Father Frank Corradi, Mission Educator, OFS, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Senior Priest of the Diocese of La Crosse. "The Thanksgiving holiday provides an opportunity to reconnect with the Source of the gifts of body, mind, and spirit, and to celebrate these gifts and their origin." IT DOES A BODY GOOD How do you express thankfulness for the tremendous blessings of a healthy life, no matter what challenges may come? Make a personal commitment to be a good steward of the gifts God has given you. "A person's body should be seen as a gift that should be kept healthy through nutrition, exercise, and taking time for the Sabbath," Father Corradi says. "The spirit is nurtured by prayer, silence, reflection, healthy friendship, service to others, and openness to new possibilities coming into our lives." While taking time out of a busy day to read, study, or enjoy creative pursuits might seem like a luxury, nourishing the mind with knowledge deepens a person's understanding of what truly matters in life. "The majority of people in our community do not get the recommended 30 minutes of exercise each day, so we suggest moving for just 15 minutes a day as a start. This is an attainable goal that can change lives for the better little by little." Visit GOChippewaValley.com and download the free GO My Way app for more information about how you can start living more, doing more, and feeling better by committing to at least 15 minutes of exercise a day.
