2 KentuckyOne Health | KentuckyOneHealth.org Dear One Health Readers, The start of a new year brings about the opportunity to refl ect on the past year and look ahead with hope for the future. As I think about 2016, it is exciting to recall some of our initiatives that were motivated by our focus to enhance patient care and remain engaged in the communities we serve. In 2016, we expanded emergency services at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth and Jewish Hospitals, part of KentuckyOne Health, and we introduced our pioneering "Fast ER" program statewide to signifi cantly reduce wait times for our patients. Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph East, Saint Joseph London and Jewish Hospitals, part of KentuckyOne Health, all received recognition in specialty categories by U.S. News and World Report. We also enhanced the lives of those we serve by leading free hands-only CPR trainings, cancer screenings and health fairs. KentuckyOne Health is, and will always be, committed to your health. This issue of One Health is focused on heart health and some of the unique procedures and care KentuckyOne Health provides. Please take a few minutes to look through it as some of this information could be benefi cial to your wellness, or the well-being of a loved one. Ruth W.
