Care at the Click of a Button We've created another way for you to access health careā€”and it's more convenient than ever. It's important to maintain a relationship with your primary care provider (PCP). However, sometimes you need to see a healthcare professional outside of regular office hours or may not be able to make it in for help with a common health concern. When that happens, the CHI St. Anthony Virtual Clinic is available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. "The Virtual Clinic is for people who have a cough, cold, flu, sore throat, allergies, or other ailments and want prompt medical attention from home," says Cheryl Pearce, MSN, RN, Director of Physician Clinics for CHI St. Anthony Hospital. "Patients can call in, describe their symptoms, and learn about next treatment steps over the phone. If they need medications, Virtual Clinic providers can write prescriptions as appropriate. It's a quick, painless process that save patients time, money, and energy." GETTING CONNECTED To schedule a remote appointment, visit the CHI St. Anthony Hospital homepage at sahpendleton.org and scroll down to click on "Learn More" below "Virtual Clinic." On average, it takes less than 10 minutes to speak with a provider, and you can stream a movie in a separate tab until you're connected. Visits typically take 10 minutes, keeping the entire experience under 20 minutes for many users. If your condition needs more hands-on attention, your Virtual Clinic provider can refer you on to an appropriate provider to streamline the process. You don't have to be a patient at CHI St. Anthony Hospital to use this service, but being one does have its perks. If you are a patient with us, notes from your visit will automatically be sent to your PCP using our electronic medical records system. This keeps your health team looped in for follow-up care. Cheryl encourages people to create a Virtual Clinic account before they need help. It takes only a few minutes, and having an account ready to go makes it easier to get the care you need when you need it. Virtual Clinic is not appropriate for emergency care. For medical emergencies, always call 911 or visit the nearest Emergency Department. ! sahpendleton.org /// CATHOLIC HEALTH INITIATIVES 4
