AACREDITUNION.ORG | 11 ail Enda has three daughters. Within the last few years, all have begun entering their adult lives, becoming fi rst-time users of many of the services that American Airlines Federal Credit Union offers. Enda, recently named President and CEO of American Airlines Credit Union, has used their perspective to see what opportunities there are for the Credit Union to grow. "My parents' generation, my generation and now my children's generation — I've been able to see how we serve all types of members and learn the different expectations they have for their fi nancial services," Enda said. "That's our goal: personalization. We want to meet members where they are and serve them the way they would like to be served." "This business is a relationship business," she continued. "We know that our members count on us to be by their side as they make important fi nancial decisions, and we want to make sure they have all the information and they've asked all the right questions." Enda said that she's been blessed to learn from phenomenal leaders for the 17 years she's been at the Credit Union — fi rst under the guidance of John Tippets and then Angie Owens. "Mr. Tippets instilled a passion for our members that Angie continued. He and a group of Credit Union employees crafted our vision, which is still relevant today: Our vision is for every member-owner of American Airlines Federal Credit Union to realize their life and fi nancial well-being are enriched as a result of their Credit Union participation." "I attribute the fact that we were so successful during the past 10 years to Angie's leadership. She was steadfast," she said. "Under Angie's leadership, the Credit Union reached a record number of new members while continuing to build on our core strengths of competitive loan rates and strong dividends." Enda said that she is set to continue the course. That means continuing to invest in long-term technology that Credit Union members are relying on — technology that keeps a member mobile. "We want to blend that history of the physical presence we have across the country, while taking advantage of all the digital tools that are out there — making it easier for members to do business when they are traveling," she said. "Our members travel. That's the unique part of this institution." Enda said the team has been hard at work developing a new website, slated to roll out in the second quarter. The refreshed site will offer a better experience for members and allow them to fi nd information more easily. She plans to continue to look at ways to invest in services and products — and education — for the next generation of Credit Union members. In the past year, the Credit Union has rolled out a new student loan refi nance program for members to help make repayment more manageable. Most importantly, she said, she plans to continue the compassionate guidance of a Credit Union that looks to better the long-term fi nancial wellness of members. "It's a great honor for me to be the leader of this organization," Enda said. "The success of the Credit Union is not about one person though — it really is the collective of everyone who works here as well as the members who trust us." G
