These collaboration tools are must-haves for managers and team members who want to squeeze more productivity and efficiency out of their workdays. Integrate Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Out- look. With this integration, Sonya Schwartz, founder of Her Norm, says you can easily share emails from Outlook to chat channels on Teams. Integration allows you to do tasks seam- lessly while allowing for instant collaboration. For example, click the Share to Teams button to send an email directly to your Teams for shar- ing or saving, Schwartz explains. Power up your time management. From your Microsoft 365 account, you can tap into the power of Microsoft MyAnalytics, which helps you manage tasks and email, follow up with important contacts and improve your personal productivity. If you're a Google Gmail user, check out the email filters, labels and keyboard shortcuts; Boomerang to schedule emails for sending at a later time; and the Todoist Gmail extension to help manage your tasks more effectively. Sync your Google Drive to other cloud storage services. A big believer in doing digital data backups, Schwartz says this simple step helps her rest easy, knowing that she won't lose her files if one cloud storage system fails. She suggests syncing and backing up your files in your Google Drive account using an application like cloudHQ. The paid-service application backs up, syncs and integrates multiple cloud storage services. (cloudHQ has a free option with a maximum file size of 100 MB.) Don't rely too heavily on Google's snippets (also known as "answer boxes") in organic search. Google's relevance algorithm works well, says Money Crashers' Finance Editor Brian Martucci, "but it's not perfect, and it's easy to be led astray by a snippet that's not on point." To avoid this problem, always click through to the source material and, ideally, use a second source to confirm the answer. Using some or all of these tips, you can save time, protect your data, streamline your online communications and ultimately get more value out of these popular apps.
