A W O R D FROM THE CEO 2 | FALL 2018 One of the responsibilities of which I am most proud as president and CEO of American Airlines Federal Credit Union, is our mission to help our member-owners reach their dreams. Throughout the year, we've shown you how to dare to dream and then build and live them fully. Now we hope you'll pay it forward and help your family and coworkers take advantage of those same benefi ts that Credit Union membership brings you. To that end, we have a terrifi c offer to inspire you to invite new members to join us (see the inside front cover). We're also excited to announce the arrival of our new Financial Wellness program, offering various tools and education designed to encourage fi nancial "wellness," wherever you may be on your fi nancial journey. You can read more about the program on Page 42. On a personal note, I've enjoyed helping members achieve their dreams the last 11 years, but I recently received an opportunity to realize one of my own dreams as well. This fall, I will be leaving the Credit Union to join American Airlines as Vice President and Controller. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to our members for allowing me to serve them. Thank you. And I'm amazed every day at the phenomenal work our Credit Union team members do. They are caring, dedicated, passionate and talented. I have learned from them, laughed and cried with them, and will miss them immensely. Finally, I would not have been able to have the blessings that this role has brought me without the support of my parents, children and husband. Their love, guidance and patience over the last decade has been unwavering. I am fortunate and grateful to have them in my life. While these last 10 years have been a dream come true in many ways, it's now time for me to move on to that next chapter in my life and make room for another leader to leave their mark on this fi ne institution. I'm happy to announce that beginning in January, Gail Enda will become our new President and CEO. While change is in the air, the long-standing values we all hold dear — advocacy, integrity, compassion and caring —remain the same.
