44 | FALL 2018 Spotlight Employee Spotlight A merican Airlines Federal Credit Union member-owners know that branches are special places, not just for conducting financial business, but also for excellent customer service. The Mayfair Village branch at 656 Grapevine Highway. in Hurst, Texas, is no exception. Members doing business at this financial institution are treated to broad smiles by a professional and knowledgeable staff that includes head teller, Deborah Lynn. A fixture at the Hurst branch since 2009, it's easy to see why Lynn and this particular location regularly receive compliments and positive reviews from members. Deborah's warm, bubbly personality and infectious laugh draw you in and has brightened up many members' day over the last decade. "My coworkers are great up here, and the members that come into the branch are excellent." Lynn says. "We have a phenomenal branch manager, Michelle Nolen, and what I think of as the best group of employees. We play a lot. It changes the mood because it's a happy place to come into." Since starting with American Airlines in 2000 at the Reservations office, Lynn has had many frontline and customer-facing positions with the company, including at the DFW Airport where she worked the gates and the ticket counters. But it's been her role with the Credit Union at the Hurst branch that has given her the most satisfaction. "This has been the most fun job I've ever had," she says. In fact, she has regular members who will come into the branch to visit with her specifically.
