Joining in her celebra- tion will be her broth- ers Blake and Bradley and proud grand- parents Eileen and Bob Milstein, and Dr. Manuel Bordelove. She is also the grand- daughter of the late Louise Bordelove. Carli is a student at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield. As part of her mitzvah experience, she vol- unteered monthly for the bingo games at the Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield, finding time with the resi- dents to be very rewarding. Fox Isabelle Naomi Fox will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday, Oct. 10, at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills. Joining her in celebra- tion will be parents, Michael and Stacy, and siblings Elijah and Goldie Fox. Proud grandparents are Saul Arsht, and Larry and Tobi Fox. She is also the granddaughter of the late Shirley Arsht. Izzy attends Bloomfield Hills Middle School. Her mitzvah project includes publishing a children's book, proceeds of which will be donated to Tamarack Camps, Send a Kid to Camp Fund. Lesson Jillian Rose Lesson will lead the congrega- tion in prayer on the occasion of her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Saturday, Oct. 10. She is the loving daughter of Lauren and Randy Lesson and sister of Corey and Joshua. Joining in her celebra- tion will be her proud grandparents Linda Dembs, Sandra and Dennis Dembs, Joan and Dr. Jerry Lesson, and great-grandfather Nelson Dembs. Jillian is also the great-grandchild of the late Ann Dembs, the late Fannie and the late Charles Alifeld, the late Florence and the late Tom Lesson, the late Lillian and the late Sam Simon. Jillian is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. As part of her mitzvah project, she participated in J-Serve, where she helped to orga- nize games at senior citizen homes and helped to clean up inner city parks. Miller Austin Jared Miller, son of Mindi Miller and Daniel Miller, will read from the Torah on the occasion of his bar mitzvah on Friday, Oct. 9, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. Joining in his celebration will be his brother Logan and proud grandparents Sharon Gold, Harold Gold and Bobbi Miller. Austin is also the grandson of the late Mike Miller. He is a student at Walnut Creek Middle School in Walled Lake. As part of his many mitzvah experiences, Austin collected more than 1,000 pop can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. The funds generated from recycling these help offset the House's expenses so it can serve as a home away from home for seriously ill children and their families. Provizer Eliana Joy Provizer will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. She is the loving daughter of Kari and Dr. Jeffrey Provizer and sister of Jake and Noah. Joining Ellie in celebration will be her proud grandparents Kay Kutinsky, Sandy and Frank Kutinsky, and Gail and Harold Provizer. Ellie is also the grand- daughter of the late Joan Provizer. She is the great-grandchild of the late Julia and Bill Barris, the late Elsie and Morris Kutinsky, the late Rose and Jack Provizer, and the late Vivian and Lou Berry. Ellie attends O. E. Dunckel Middle School in Farmington Hills. As part of her mitzvah experience, she volunteered at the Holocaust Memorial Center, where she raised funds and awareness to help support educational programs for public school students, who might otherwise not have the opportunity to visit the cen- ter. At her bat mitzvah, she will be twin- ning with Anna Klein, a young girl who perished in the Holocaust. Saulson Laela Faye Saulson will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday morning, Oct. 10, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. Sharing in her celebra- tion will be her par- ents, Michelle and Eli Saulson, and siblings Isaac, Sophia and Fara. Laela is grateful that her grandparents Marjorie and Saul Saulson, and Margaret and Mark Eichner will be joining in this simchah. Laela is an eighth-grade student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. For her mitzvah project, she mentored students in Detroit at the Boggs School through PeerCorps. Skolnik Stella Eve Skolnik, daughter of Michele Freind and Bruce Skolnik, will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Congregation Beth Ahm in West Bloomfield. Her proud sisters are Maya and Nora Skolnik. Along with her grand- mothers Marcia Freind and Marla Skolnik, many of Stella's friends will cel- ebrate with her. Stella is in the seventh grade at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. Her mitzvah project focused on the Detroit-based PeerCorps, which involved volunteering at the St. Joseph Health Center and D-town Farms. Julia and Bridget Spilkin Bridget Sadie Spilkin (Cayla Bina) and Julia Elisabeth Spilkin (Ilana Leah) will each be called to the Torah as a b'not mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Temple Kol Ami in West Bloomfield. Bridget and Julia's proud parents are Sharon and Andy Spilkin. Sharing in the joy will be the girls' grandparents, Larry and Susann Spilkin, and Peter and Ida Wolf. Bridget and Julia are eighth-grad- ers at Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham. As part of their mitzvah experience, they baked and distributed homemade cookies to cancer patients. The mitzvah project was especially meaningful as their grandmother is bat- tling breast cancer. Wittenberg Samuel Aidan Wittenberg will be called to the bimah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills. He is the loving son of Stacey and Marc Wittenberg and big brother to Zachary and Jonah. Sharing in his celebration will be his proud grand- parents, Anita and Ronald Taylor, Eileen and Sidney Bradley, and Carol and Larry Wittenberg. Also participating will be Sam's great-grandmother Betty Taylor. Sam is an eighth-grader at West Hills Middle School. Among his many mitzvah experiences at JARC, his most meaningful is volunteering annually at the JARC Chanukah party.
